Montredo is a Berlin based retailer of new and certified pre-owned luxury watches, trading as MONTREDO GmbH and selling across Europe and beyond. The catalogue spans the major Swiss houses, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Omega, Cartier, IWC and Vacheron Constantin among them, alongside a long list of independent brands, WOLF accessories, a watch buying service and an editorial magazine. The site claims more than 45,000 customers since 2012 and prices everything in euros. Built on Shopify.

Website Design

Near black on white with grey rules. Text sits at a soft black rather than pure black, borders are pale grey, and there is no brand colour, so watch photography and price figures carry the visual weight.

Instrument Sans over Nunito. Headings use Instrument Sans while body copy runs in Nunito, both at regular weight. Buttons inherit the body face at a small size, which keeps the interface quiet next to dense product data.

A rotating announcement bar. The strip above the header cycles three claims, a 2% discount for bank transfer orders, the customer count since 2012, and free shipping within the EU.

Shopping Experience

Navigation is organised by brand first. Buy Watch splits the house names into A to G, H to M, N to S and T to Z, then adds Favorite Categories and a Certified Pre-Owned column broken out by brand. Independent Brands repeats the same four part alphabet for smaller makers.

Facets go unusually deep. The Omega listing alone holds 1,174 products, filtered by availability, condition, price, model, gender and bracelet material. Condition splits into 621 new and 445 certified pre-owned, and the model facet enumerates lines down to individual references.

Cards lead with the saving. Grid tiles open with a Save figure in euros, then a sale price struck against a regular price, with NEW, Popular and In Stock badges layered on the image.

One currency, many countries. The selector lists more than forty destinations, from Australia to the United States, all priced in EUR, with the interface available in English, German, French and Dutch.

Brand Storytelling

Trust claims stated as a row. Authentic Watches, Full Manufacturer Warranty and Insured Shipping run as a three panel block under the hero, supported elsewhere by a 14 day return policy and a 12 month Montredo warranty on pre-owned pieces.

Brand pages carry reference copy. The Omega page opens with a paragraph on the 1848 founding, Swatch Group ownership, the Seamaster, Speedmaster and Constellation lines, and METAS certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements, so a collection page doubles as a primer.

Generated copy is disclosed. The homepage explainer headed “Why buying at MONTREDO?” ends with the line “This page contains AI generated content”, which is an unusually direct piece of labelling for a retail page.

Notable Features

Selling sits in the main navigation. Sell your watch is a top level item rather than a footer link, putting acquisition on the same footing as purchase.

A magazine with its own archive. Articles cover Watches and Wonders coverage, a Rolex edit and brand histories, linked from the homepage and the footer.

Accessories beyond the watch. A WOLF section supplies winders, cases and storage as a separate department.
