Maya Magal London sells handcrafted fine jewellery, engagement and wedding rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and charms, made from recycled gold and recycled sterling silver. Alongside ready-to-wear pieces the brand offers bespoke design and in-person ring-making workshops, and sells through its own Shopify site.
Website Design
Instrument Sans for headings, Nunito for body. The site’s stylesheet labels its @font-face declarations by role, a comment marked “Typography (heading)” precedes the Instrument Sans upload and “Typography (body)” precedes Nunito, with a third uploaded face, BrownLL-Medium, appearing elsewhere in the markup.
Near-black text with a stone gray accent. Body copy sits in a near-black, #1c1c1c, with a warm stone gray, #6f6a63, used as a secondary tone, an earthy pairing that suits the recycled-metal materials story.
Multi-angle product photography in a rotating carousel. The homepage runs navigable image carousels and featured product grids that show pieces from more than one angle rather than a single flat product shot.
Shopping Experience
Shop is split by occasion as well as by category. The main navigation separates Engagement and Wedding from a general Shop section organized by material and type, with dedicated Gifts and Bespoke sections alongside them.
A wide price band with a “from” entry point. Bestsellers list from GBP 180 for earrings up to GBP 2,850 for a diamond ring, with some pieces marked “From GBP 375” to signal that customization changes the final price. That range covers everyday charms at one end and engagement-grade stones at the other inside the same bestseller grid.
Delivery and returns terms shown early. Free UK delivery on orders from GBP 250 and free in-store returns are stated near the top of the shopping funnel rather than left for a policy page, reducing the perceived risk of buying jewellery without handling it first.
Brand Storytelling
Materials named specifically. The brand states its pieces use recycled gold and recycled sterling silver rather than a general “sustainable materials” claim.
A short, structural tagline. “Handcrafted forms. Lasting by design.” pairs the making process with a durability claim in a single line.
Workshops as brand proof. Ring-making workshops, listed under a section called Our Practice, let customers experience the craft directly rather than read about it secondhand.
Notable Features
A first-order discount tied to spend. New subscribers are offered 10 percent off first orders over GBP 100 through the newsletter signup, a threshold set above the brand’s lowest-priced items.
Comprehensive footer customer care. Delivery, warranty and ring-sizing guidance each get their own dedicated footer link rather than being combined into one FAQ page, along with a full set of payment method icons.
Four social channels tied to the brand. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok are all linked from the footer, spanning both an established platform and newer, more visual ones suited to jewellery photography.
Bespoke design offered as its own path. Alongside the ready-to-wear shop, a dedicated Bespoke section lets customers commission a custom piece rather than choosing only from the standing catalogue.
