Press Kite is a hosted press kit builder sold to startups on a monthly subscription. A customer fills in company background, a press contact, logos and brand colours, videos and coverage links, and the service publishes it as a page on a presskite.com subdomain or a custom domain. The homepage promise is to “Create a press kit for your startup in 5 minutes”. The marketing site runs in six languages on Bootstrap 4.6.

Website Design

Blue on white over an illustrated ground. The palette, published on the company’s own kit, is a light blue, a mid blue and a red. Navigation sits in a deep navy that shifts to mid blue on hover, and the page ground is an SVG illustration rather than a photograph.

Roboto with a script accent. Type is Roboto, pulled from Google Fonts and applied across the interface, with Caveat loaded alongside it as a handwriting face. There are no custom display weights, so headings rely on size alone.

Stock Bootstrap patterns, used plainly. The layout is the framework as shipped: a transparent navbar, a centred hero, a card row of flat screenshots linking to live kits, and a three card pricing block. The middle plan is lifted out of line with a negative margin and a darker header, the only place the grid breaks.

Shopping Experience

Three plans, priced monthly. Standard is $9, Premium $29 and Custom $99. Standard caps items at twenty and one language on a presskite.com subdomain with no analytics; Premium lifts the cap, allows three languages and adds a custom domain, analytics and chat support; Custom adds unlimited languages and custom theming.

Risk removed before the price. The line under the pricing heading reads “We offer a 14 day free trial and 100% money back guarantee”. Annual billing is offered as two months free, stated as a 17 percent discount.

Signup is three fields. Registration asks for an email address, a password and a confirmation, with no card details taken. Every plan card routes to the same create action except Custom, which opens a contact form.

Brand Storytelling

The company runs on its own product. Press Kite’s own press kit runs on the platform and is listed among the public examples next to kits for Product Hunt, SamBoat and Ambitious Africa.

The journalist is named as the reader. The features page states the goal as “All the information a journalist needs to cover your start-up, in one place”, framing the feature list around what a reporter collects rather than what a founder wants to say.

Notable Features

Six interface languages on subdomains. English sits on the root while French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and German each get a subdomain, switched from a flag menu repeated in the header and footer.

Brand colours published as copyable hex codes. A live kit renders each colour as a named swatch with an instruction to copy the hex code below it, alongside logo files listed by file type.

Analytics on the kit, not just the site. Traffic reporting for the published kit is a paid tier feature rather than a dashboard extra, which makes the kit measurable as a channel.
