Currently supporting companies like Colgate and Ylopo, Squarespace Enterprise promises organizations more flexibility, and more specialist support than any other Squarespace plan.
The question is, is Squarespace Enterprise right for your business? Or would you be better off exploring packages from companies like Wix, Shopify, and BigCommerce?
I took a closer look at the benefits offered by Squarespace’s enterprise plan, to help you make the right choice.
Squarespace Enterprise: The Quick Verdict
Squarespace Enterprise takes the potential of one of the world’s leading website builders and ecommerce platforms to the next level.
It features all of the core capabilities offered on other Squarespace plans, such as:

- Highly attractive, customizable templates
It also gives companies access to:
- Expert support with custom website production
- Search engine optimization
- Dedicated services tailored to larger teams
However, it also gives companies access to a range of value-added services, such as expert support with custom website production, search engine optimization, and more.
Unfortunately, Squarespace Enterprise isn’t quite as flexible as some of the other Enterprise plans, I’ve reviewed. For instance, it doesn’t support headless commerce, nor does it unlock many additional features.

Squarespace Enterprise is an ecommerce platform and website builder subscription plan, offered by the Squarespace brand.
Beyond the typical feature set, Enterprise users also benefit from:

- SSO implementation
- Multi-site management via a master dashboard
Similar to Shopify Plus or BigCommerce enterprise, it builds on the core features offered by other Squarespace subscriptions, giving companies access to enhanced security and reliability, unlimited storage, and dedicated expert support.
With Squarespace Enterprise, business leaders can still take advantage of all the things that make Squarespace a standout ecommerce solution.
You can sell products, services, and subscriptions, add a checkout to your domain which accepts various payment methods, and design a stunning site with an excellent collection of professional templates.
However, Enterprise-level customers also gain access to support with custom website production, SEO services, employee permissions, access control, and a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
You can even leverage advanced SSL certificates, and single sign-on solutions.
Squarespace Enterprise Pricing
Pricing is one the first things any company will look at when deciding which platform to use for their ecommerce business.
That’s why it’s also one of the first things I check when I’m conducting a review.
Unfortunately, while Squarespace is pretty transparent about the fees and subscription costs of its other packages, it doesn’t share any clear information on the price of an Enterprise plan.

The only way to find out how much you’re going to pay for your plan is to contact the sales team and discuss your needs with them.
Factors that can influence cost:
- Training session scope
- Number of active websites
- Required design or development resources
- Advanced support or consultancy hours
- Security and compliance requirements
This might seem frustrating, but it’s a common practice among SaaS vendors offering Enterprise-level solutions.
Ultimately, the amount you pay will depend on various factors, such as how much support you need with custom web development and SEO, and whether you want to take advantage of additional services, like white-glove product training.
Squarespace Enterprise Features
Squarespace Enterprise is essentially the next step up from Squarespace’s “Commerce Advanced” plan.
This means you should get all the features you’d get from this package, such as mobile optimized website templates, a free custom domain (for 1 year), the option to sell products, services, and subscriptions and powerful merchandising tools.
You’ll also be able to add a checkout to your domain and you won’t have to pay any transaction fees when processing payments (although credit card processing rates will still apply).
Here’s what the Enterprise plan adds to the base feature set:
- Hands-on support from dedicated web experts
- Access to design and UX consulting
- Better scalability and performance tuning
- Enhanced control of user permissions
- Workflow integration support
Compared to some of the other enterprise-level plans I’ve reviewed; Squarespace doesn’t seem to offer as many “extra” features to its highest-paying customers.
For instance, you don’t get headless commerce support like you do with BigCommerce or Shopify Plus.
For the most part, the upgrades you get with Squarespace Enterprise revolve around security, reliability, and access to specialist services.
Expert Support and Specialist Services

Most companies offer a higher level of “priority” customer support to their enterprise customers, and Squarespace is no exception.
What Enterprise users gain access to:
- Analytics training and dashboard customisation
- Weekly syncs with their account manager
- Custom content layout and UI consulting
- Design audits before major launches
- Tech stack integration advice
When you upgrade to the most expensive plan, you’ll receive your own dedicated account manager, who will work with you to help you achieve your growth goals.
You’ll also receive white-glove technical support and product training, to help with everything from ensuring your employees can use the platform effectively, to taking advantage of third-party integrations.
What sets Squarespace apart from other ecommerce platform vendors, however, is the dedicated teams you can access for specific use cases.
For instance, enterprise customers can get expert help with:
- Custom website production: If you want to create a truly unique digital experience with your online store, the Squarespace team can help you design a website from scratch. You’ll even be able to launch as many different business websites as you like from the same account, and manage everything within a centralized dashboard.
- Search Engine Optimization: Squarespace’s expert marketing teams can work with you to enhance the technical, off-page, and on-page SEO elements of your new site. They’ll work with you through one-on-one sessions to help you identify ways to improve your ranking.
- Security evaluations: Squarespace’s team of experts can also partner with your brand on security initiatives. They can examine your site for any potential risks, and give you tips on how to improve data security and compliance.
Enhanced Security and Employee Permissions
If you’re concerned about protecting your site against an evolving range of cybersecurity threats, upgrading to Squarespace Enterprise could be a good idea.
The Squarespace platform already offers excellent security, with a SOC 2 certification, and PCI-compliant payment processing.
However, companies on the Enterprise plan can take advantage of more methods of boosting their security.
Common security upgrades include:

One of the reasons I recommend Squarespace to so many business owners (particularly those selling services and subscriptions), is that the platform is so easy to use.
Even on standard plans, you’ll have access to an intuitive and clean website builder, dozens of amazing templates, and a comprehensive admin interface for managing all of your business processes.
However, the Enterprise plan makes building and managing your website even easier. You can build your own templates from scratch with the help of Squarespace’s design experts.
The team can even give you access to UX and web designers who can help bring your vision to life.
Even on standard plans, you’ll have access to an intuitive and clean website builder, dozens of amazing templates, and a comprehensive admin interface for managing all of your business processes.
Plus, you’ll be able to manage everything from an upgraded version of the Squarespace admin dashboard.
Squarespace Enterprise also includes customized drafting options, allowing companies to experiment with a range of unpublished sites or iterate on drafts of live, existing pages.
Further site management benefits:

Similar to other enterprise-level plans from brands like BigCommerce and Shopify, Squarespace’s Enterprise solution comes with access to unlimited storage, and the opportunity to sell as many products and services as you like.
Unlimited bandwidth ensures your site will continue to operate with incredible speed, even during peaks in traffic.
Additional reliability perks:
- Dedicated server clusters (on request)
- Faster DNS resolution
- Real-time downtime monitoring
- High-speed CDN integration
- Static asset caching optimisation
Squarespace also promises a 99.9% uptime to its Enterprise level users, similar to BigCommerce and Shopify’s 99.99% uptime guarantees.
This ensures you shouldn’t have to worry about sudden outages leading to lost opportunities as your business grows.
Squarespace Enterprise Review: Integrations
As far as I could tell, there aren’t many specific integrations available just to customers on Squarespace’s Enterprise plan.
The only “extra” integration option you’ll get is the ability to connect your site with a SSO solution.
Beyond that, you’ll have access to all of the same third-party integrations as any Squarespace customer.
Notably, compared to alternatives like Shopify, there aren’t quite as many integrations available for Squarespace.
However, you can still find connectors for everything from marketing tools like Mailchimp, analytical apps like Google Analytics, file sharing tools, social media integrations, and commerce solutions.
Typical integrations used by Enterprise clients:
- Salesforce for CRM
- Zapier for automation
- Stripe for payments
- HubSpot for lead generation
- Google Tag Manager for scripts
On the plus side, as an Enterprise user, you will have access to custom technical support, so you could request help creating connectors for the integrations you need.
Squarespace Enterprise Review: Customer Support
As noted above, next-level customer service is one of the biggest selling points of Squarespace Enterprise.
You don’t just get your own dedicated account manager, you’ll also have access to priority email support, quality assurance testing, security evaluations, private product training, design consultations and more.
Added support offerings include:
- Full onboarding playbooks
- Employee training videos and resources
- Direct Slack or email collaboration (by request)
- QA testing for launch events
- Custom documentation for internal use
You can access help from a dedicated SEO expert.
Notably, I was a little disappointed to see the “priority” support is only available via email. There doesn’t seem to be an option to contact the team via phone.
Additionally, the priority service upgrade doesn’t apply to any live chat service requests.
On the plus side, you will have access to extra technical training and step-by-step consultations, which could reduce your need for constant customer support.
Plus, you’ll still be able to reach out to Squarespace on a range of social channels, like X and Facebook.
Squarespace Enterprise vs Competitors
Squarespace is far from the only ecommerce platform or website builder to offer dedicated “Enterprise level” packages to its customers.
There are actually some alternative options out there that I think might be better suited to most scaling companies.
Consider these key Enterprise plan differences:
- Headless architecture support: Shopify Plus, BigCommerce
- Built-in POS systems: Shopify Plus
- Advanced integrations: BigCommerce and Wix
- White-label site production: Wix
- SEO expertise and guidance: Squarespace only
- Enterprise-specific APIs: Shopify and BigCommerce
Squarespace Enterprise vs Shopify Plus
I think Shopify Plus is the best enterprise-level plan out there.
Like Squarespace Enterprise, it gives you access to unlimited bandwidth, priority support from customer service experts, and access to a range of additional options to help you customize your site.
However, Shopify also offers bonus features that you won’t get with Squarespace Enterprise, such as headless commerce support, localized global selling capabilities with Shopify Markets, and process automation with Shopify Flow.
You’ll also get access to Shopify POS Pro, for in-person sales, plus a range of advanced custom reports, and leading security features.
Notably though, Shopify Plus doesn’t come with built-in solutions for selling courses and booking appointments, whereas Squarespace Enterprise does.
Squarespace Enterprise vs Wix Enterprise
Squarespace Enterprise and Wix Enterprise come with a lot of the same benefits for business leaders, such as a multi-site dashboard for managing various websites, access to enterprise-level security, and a 99.99% uptime SLA.
Plus, both solutions offer 24/7 priority support, and access to your own customer success manager.
Wix Enterprise also offers single sign-on support, and allows you to leverage its team’s expertise to build custom website experiences.
However, there are no SEO expert services available. Wix does offer support from fulfillment and migration partners, however.
Plus, the Wix Enterprise plan includes access to flexible integration options, domain routing capabilities, and an upgraded website design experience, with developer-built blocks and components.
Squarespace Enterprise vs BigCommerce Enterprise
BigCommerce Enterprise has more in common with Shopify Plus than the Squarespace Enterprise plan.
It gives you the complete freedom to customize every aspect of your site, and create unique experiences with headless commerce.
Both solutions do include priority customer support, an uptime guarantee, exceptional security and reliability, and a unique enterprise account dashboard.
However, Squarespace gives companies more support with things like SEO and security options, while BigCommerce focuses on design flexibility.
I’d recommend Squarespace as a solution for companies in the creative landscape or service providers, whereas BigCommerce is a more robust option for larger businesses with a global presence, and hundreds (or thousands) of products.
Squarespace Enterprise Pros and Cons
Any enterprise level ecommerce plan has its pros and cons to consider, and Squarespace is no exception. Here’s what stood out during my review:
- Expert assistance with custom website design, search engine optimization, and product/platform training.
- Excellent customer support, with a dedicated success manager, and priority email response times.
- Guaranteed uptimes of 99.9% and exceptional security features for peace of mind.
- Excellent range of customizable templates for website design.
- Support for selling unlimited products, services, and subscriptions in one environment.
- Comprehensive admin dashboard with employee permission controls, and multi-site management capabilities.
Cons
- Priority support is only available via email (and direct communication with your account manager)
- Lack of pricing transparency (you won’t know what you’re going to pay until you get a quote)
- Limited bonus features (no headless commerce, API solutions or advanced integrations)
Squarespace Enterprise Review: Conclusion
Overall, I think Squarespace Enterprise could be an excellent choice for certain types of companies, such as those selling subscriptions, memberships, services, and courses.
It builds on all of the excellent features Squarespace offers in its other plans, and gives you access to a range of experts that can help your business grow.
However, it lacks the flexibility of some of the other enterprise-level solutions available on the market today. For instance, there’s no support for headless commerce, custom API integrations, or advanced automation and reporting.
If those are must-haves, alternatives like:
- Shopify Plus for product scaling and global reach
- BigCommerce for deep backend flexibility
- Wix Enterprise for fast no-code site deployment
…may suit you better.
