LÖFFLER GmbH
Updated: September 11, 2026
Loffler ERGO GmbH is a German furniture maker that has built ergonomic seating since 1992 and sells it direct. The catalogue covers office chairs, orthopaedic chairs, ergonomic stools, barstools, visitor and dining chairs, heavy duty chairs, tables for dining, lounge, office and bar use, plus accessories, care products and children furniture. Buyers split between home offices and workplace specifiers, with a References section and a named sales team for the trade. The homepage puts the positioning in one line: “Furniture for life. Handcrafted in Bavaria.” It runs on Shopify with a custom bilingual front end.
Website Design
A slate and pale blue system. The palette rests on a blue grey for body type and dark panels, a lighter grey for secondary text, and a very pale blue grey for cards, filters and alternating bands. White sits behind the photography, and one saturated blue is reserved for links and active states.
Suisse Intl at every level. Headings and body copy both use Suisse Intl, loaded in Thin, Regular, Medium and Bold, so hierarchy comes from weight and scale rather than a second typeface. Eyebrows are set small and upper case.
Numbered sections. The homepage moves through blocks numbered 01 to 04, each pairing a claim with one image. Chairs are shot on plain grounds for the grid and in furnished rooms for the editorial panels.
Shopping Experience
Filters that explain themselves. Collection pages filter on colour, material and price with counts beside every option. The material facet lists Essential Fabric, Power 24/7, Wool, Faux Leather and Leather, each with its own description and fibre composition, including a note that Power 24/7 is certified to 200,000 Martindale cycles. Office Chairs holds 31 products.
Prices in euros, configurable models marked. Cards add “Starting from” where variants change the figure. Product pages repeat it with “(Tax included)” beside it and state a six week delivery window.
A configurator in the buy box. Product pages open with three badges, handmade in Germany, delivered assembled and free shipping, then run a material and colour selector before Add to cart. A cart drawer slides in from the right and totals including VAT.
Brand Storytelling
One technology carries the argument. ERGO TOP appears on the homepage, in the navigation, on every chair page and in its own section. The copy credits its development to work with the Technical University of Munich, and notes that the IGR has recommended the chairs for over 30 years.
Function framed as wellbeing. The About page sets the premise as “the balance between form and function, between healthy use, true experience and sensual sensation”, and the Ergonomics pages read as instruction, not sales copy.
Notable Features
Documentation as a shopping aid. Product pages link a spec sheet and a chair manual, and the site keeps a Downloads page and a Seating Manuals section.
Specification icons below the fold. Each chair page ends with a row stating daily usage time, a 120 kg load limit, floor covering suitability and a 30 year warranty.
Trade and editorial beside retail. A News Room, References, Jobs and Careers, returns and a sales specialist directory sit in the footer beside the shop columns.
