October’s Very Own
Updated: September 15, 2026
October’s Very Own is the Toronto streetwear label built around the OVO owl, selling sweatshirts, tees, tops, sweaters, outerwear, sweatpants, shorts, headwear, activewear and accessories, plus a golf line and a run of licensed collaborations. On the Canadian storefront prices run from $18 CAD for socks and a lanyard to $198 CAD for outerwear. Built on Shopify.
Website Design
White page, near-black type, one blue. Colour schemes resolve to white, a #f3f3f3 grey, a #121212 near-black and a #242833 charcoal navy, with a royal blue, #334fb4, kept for accent panels.
One typeface for everything. Body and heading families both resolve to Assistant, in regular and bold, so hierarchy is carried by size and capitalisation rather than a second face.
Navigation carries the merchandising. The Shop menu lists garment categories, then separate columns for FALL ’26, OVO GOLF, OVO UNIFORM (Classic, Signature, Muskoka, Collegiate) and Collaborations (Batman x The Joker, CAMPUS, MLB, NEEDLES, OVO Sound, TYSON, UFC, WWE).
Shopping Experience
A bag drawer that cross-sells. Opening the bag shows the empty state, a “You might also like” strip of four accessories at $18 to $138 CAD, a subtotal and a Proceed to checkout button.
One combined sort and filter sheet. Collection pages open a SORT & FILTER panel with Featured, Newest, Price high to low and Price low to high, plus product type, thirteen named colours and sizes from XXS to XXXXL.
Team as the colour variant. On the Campus hoodie the COLOR selector lists Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes and Penn State rather than colour names, so the licensed school replaces the usual swatch row.
Specification over description. The Details panel reads as a bullet list: relaxed fit, 420 GSM 100% cotton fleece, graphic print front, back and hood, sleeve embroidery, double lined hood, front kanga pocket, with a measurement table below.
Brand Storytelling
The season names the site. FALL ’26 sits in the top-level navigation as a destination rather than a banner, so the calendar drives the structure.
Collaboration is the catalogue. Seven partner collections run as their own menu column, mixing sport licensing with entertainment properties, and each product page links back to its collection.
Editorial and retail sit in the header. Feed and Stores get top-level links next to Shop, placing the label’s own content and its physical shops beside the product range.
Notable Features
Currency switching at scale. A CHANGE LOCATION panel lists dozens of countries grouped by region with their currency and symbol, from JPY ¥ and KRW ₩ through to VND ₫.
Refunds as gift cards. Returns are free within 14 days on unworn, unwashed items with original tags, but refunds are issued as a digital gift card, and collaborations, limited releases, swimwear and sale items are final sale.
Stated shipping windows. Free shipping applies over $150 and $14 standard otherwise, orders ship within 5 to 10 business days, and pre-order items are flagged as shipping in 8 to 10 weeks with the rest of the order held back.
A French toggle and an app. An FR switch sits in the header and Download The App sits in the footer legal column.
