MasterClass

MasterClass is an online learning platform offering courses across various fields, such as cooking, writing, and music, taught by renowned experts. The website features a sleek, user-friendly design with high-quality visuals and detailed course descriptions, providing an engaging and intuitive learning experience.

Retrospec

Retrospec sells outdoor recreation gear including electric and standard bikes, kids’ bikes, inflatable paddle boards, skateboards and longboards, water tubes, and accessories such as helmets and yoga mats. The brand pitches itself on value, promoting “mind-blowing” pricing alongside third-party safety certification from SGS and TUV against CPSC, ASTM and EN standards. Adult bikes and boards run from around $36.99 for accessories up to roughly $1,899.99 for premium electric models, with Affirm financing offered from about $19 a month.

Website Design

A warm off-white base with one orange accent. The site runs on a cream background rather than pure white, with an orange used consistently for buttons, sale tags and the swirl-shaped “R” logo mark, and little else competing for colour.

Jost and Inter as the type pairing. Headings use Jost, a rounded geometric sans, while body copy and interface text run on Inter, giving the site a friendly, slightly informal tone rather than a technical or sporty one.

A dark, illustrated footer. In contrast to the light site, the footer switches to a dark brown ground with a large outlined question-mark graphic behind the link columns, a design flourish not repeated elsewhere on the site.

Shopping Experience

A three-column grid with a guide up top. The Fat Tire Electric Bikes category page opens with a short buying-guide summary and a “Take Our 30 Sec Quiz” prompt before the product grid itself, which shows price, rating count and colour swatches per card.

Product pages built for add-ons. The Beaumont Rev 3 page lets shoppers add a rear rack, bell, headlight, helmet and lock directly beside the main Add to Cart button, then follows with spec icons, video reviews and a “best for” terrain diagram further down the page.

An orange-branded checkout with a discount path. Express checkout offers Shop, PayPal and Google Pay. The order summary includes an optional shipping protection add-on and a green “Verify with ID.me” button for military, first responder, teacher and student pricing.

Brand Storytelling

Guidance built into the buying flow. The “Help Me Choose” quiz sits in the main navigation, and category pages repeat how-to-choose content addressing motor power, range and frame sizing rather than leaving that education to a blog.

Community identity through collaborations. A Grateful Dead-branded electric bike collection is filtered as its own product type in navigation, layering a music-fan audience onto the core outdoor-gear customer base.

Notable Features

A visible warranty and value pitch. Icon badges for limited lifetime warranty, free shipping and “exceptional value” appear on both the product page and at checkout, repeating the same promise at each stage of the purchase.

A dedicated dealer network section. The footer lists a dealer locator, a become-a-dealer path and a rental bike option alongside standard support links, extending the retail model beyond direct online sales.

TruFru

Tru Fru is a healthy treat made from nutrient-rich fruit that is freeze-dried fresh or frozen, then covered in delicious dark, white or milk chocolate.

Fenton

Fenton is a London fine jeweller selling engagement rings, wedding bands and everyday jewellery, pairing an online store with a showroom and an appointment led concierge service. Rings are offered four ways: customisable house styles, fully bespoke commissions, antique and vintage pieces, and in stock items shipped within 24 hours. Prices start at £395 for a wedding band and £1,225 for a lab grown diamond solitaire. Built on Shopify with a custom front end.

Website Design

A named green scale. The theme defines its own fenton-green range, running from a near white 244 247 246 through the brand green #004225 to an almost black 11 30 26. Three beiges around #FBFAF6 and #F9F3E9 carry the page backgrounds, with a dusty pink used sparingly.

Serif headlines, two sans faces. Type is served from Adobe Fonts: ivypresto-headline for display, classico-urw for interface text and avenir-lt-pro for body copy.

Panels rather than pages. Appointment booking, contact, currency selection and the design saving form all open as overlays on the current page, so a shopper configuring a ring rarely leaves it.

Shopping Experience

A comparison table for buying routes. Before any product grid, the homepage sets out the five ways to buy, each with lead time, starting price, stone options and tick marks for resizeable, financeable, customisable and engravable. Lead times run from 24 hours for in stock pieces to six to ten weeks for bespoke.

Gemstone and style as parallel indexes. The engagement ring menu lists eleven stones and seventeen house styles in two separate columns, so a ring is specified by combining one from each.

Multi-market from the header. One control switches four language settings and four currencies, GBP, EUR, CHF and USD, and a geo prompt offers to move a visitor to their local store.

Finance explained on the product page. Splitit and Klarna terms sit in the product page FAQ rather than waiting for checkout, spelling out instalment counts, credit checks, the £4,000 Klarna ceiling and the APR that applies on default.

Brand Storytelling

Sourcing as the argument. A Why Fenton panel runs eight claims covering responsible hand sourcing, B Corp certification, lab grown diamonds, aftercare, bespoke design, GIA, IGI and HRD certification, 950 platinum and recycled gold, and the removal of middleman markup.

Proof by third party. Press pull quotes sit above the footer, and the footer states “Highest rated UK jeweller on Trustpilot with over 500 5* reviews”.

Notable Features

A live price comparison tool. A homepage banner promotes a tool that checks Fenton lab grown diamond prices against other jewellers on matched specifications, described as updated daily.

Save and email a design. A modal lets a shopper send an in progress ring configuration to their own inbox and return to it later.

Appointments in three formats. London consultation, express consultation and virtual appointment are all bookable from a persistent overlay, with WhatsApp, a phone number and a concierge address listed beside them.
