Reversible
Updated: September 15, 2026
Reversible is a French eco-design studio in Tassin la Demi Lune, outside Lyon, selling bags, pouches, satchels, totes and homeware sewn from recovered materials. The site states the offer as “Sacs, accessoires et objets design en matériaux usagés. Une éco-conception locale, circulaire et solidaire.” Alongside the retail shop it runs an Espace pro arm that turns a company’s obsolete materials into custom pieces. Shop prices run from 24,00 € to 98,00 €. Built on WordPress with WooCommerce.
Website Design
Olive greens over grey. The stylesheet is built on a green scale, #acc06f, #779f00, #6e7b4b and #51511c, set against a #58585a grey and an #f5f5f5 page ground.
Proxima Nova at display sizes. Body and headings both use proxima-nova served from Typekit, with proxima-nova-condensed and an Intro face for display lines. The h1 is set at 90px on a matching 90px line height, dropping to 50px and 40px at smaller breakpoints.
Sliders carry the homepage. Material and collection rows scroll horizontally, with a card slider variable setting item count and gap per breakpoint rather than reflowing into a static grid.
Shopping Experience
Three filter axes, not one. The shop filters by Matériaux (Café, Bâche, Transparent, Ballon, Maille, Parapente, Verre, Airbag, Papier, Sol Vinyle, Gazon), by Type de produits (voyage, sport, Housse, Accessoire, Atypique, Besace, Cabas, Cartable, Décoration, Trousse, Carnets) and by colour-led Collections such as Jaune lumiere, Bleu c’est bleu and Fuchsia & Rose. Sorting offers Nouveautés, Prix croissant and Prix decroissant.
One of each. Listings repeat the same product name at the same price, because each piece is cut from a different salvaged panel. Sold items stay in the grid marked Vendu instead of disappearing.
Specs before description. Product pages print a short table of Matériaux, Type de produit, Détail, Largeur and Hauteur above the price and the Ajouter au panier button, and the cart flags “Déjà dans votre panier” with an Ajouter à nouveau option.
A four-point reassurance strip. Fabrication Française, Paiement sécurisé, Livraison express 48 h and Enchanté ou remboursé sit directly above the footer.
Brand Storytelling
The material problem is stated first. Every product page repeats an essay under RECUPERER RECREER RECYCLER explaining that advertising banner has an ephemeral use and an unlimited lifespan, that incinerating it produces dioxin, and that Reversible collects the displays instead.
Twelve materials, counted. The homepage keeps a running “12 matières récupérées” figure and links each material to its own page, which doubles as the filter vocabulary in the shop.
Social manufacturing named. Product copy states the pieces are sewn in France by workshops employing people in réinsertion sociale, and the homepage sets that out as one of three commitments beside Fabrication française and Économie circulaire.
Notable Features
A B2B track alongside the shop. Espace pro, Offre entreprise, Nos réalisations and Notre catalogue run in the primary navigation next to Boutique.
Matomo-based consent. The cookie banner offers Personnaliser mes choix, Autoriser Matomo, Accepter and Refuser rather than a single accept button.
Editorial collections. Colour edits are published as Actualités posts, so a Vert nature or Pastels grouping reads as an article rather than a category page.
