Rudy's is a family owned Parisian menswear brand that has sold leather shoes since 1980, trading from ten shops, nine in Paris and one in Bordeaux, and a French language Shopify storefront. The catalogue covers richelieu, derby, loafers, boots, sneakers and boat shoes alongside belts, socks, small leather goods, shoe trees, laces and care products, roughly 210 items priced from 3,00 € to 169,00 €.

Website Design

Tan against near-black. The palette pairs a warm leather tan, #b67c5a, with a near-black #1c1f23 and a set of cool greys (#eaeaeb, #f3f4f5, #a4a5a7, #616365). The tan is the only accent and carries everything that needs emphasis: buttons, links and review stars all take it.

Avalon and Crimson Text. A custom sans, Avalon, runs navigation, product names and prices, with CrimsonText, a serif, reserved for editorial passages. The split keeps commerce copy plain and long-form copy warmer.

Two fixed bars. A promotional strip and a navigation bar stay at the top of every page, carrying the current offer, the free delivery threshold and the instalment terms.

Shopping Experience

Organised by shoe shape. The men's menu is built on construction rather than occasion: Mocassin, Derby, Basket, Bateau, Richelieu and Boots, with Nouveautés, Outlet and Carte Cadeau beside them. Accessories divide into Soin du cuir, Chaussettes, Maroquinerie, Embauchoirs et semelles and Lacets.

Sizing handled as a conversation. A Guide des pointures panel on the product page states that the brand runs larger than others and advises dropping a size, notes that half sizes are not on every model, then offers a manual service: trace the foot, measure it in centimetres, email hello@rudys.paris and the shop replies within 24 hours. Out of stock sizes swap the add to cart control for a Prévenez moi alert.

A cart drawer that keeps selling. Adding an item opens a drawer headed "Rudy's vous recommande" with low-price cross-sells (Embauchoir Cèdre at 29,00 €, Brosse Crèpe and Cirage at 6,00 €), a progress line showing how much more is needed to reach free delivery at 169,00 €, and the running total on the checkout button.

Offers priced into the page. The second-pair half-price promotion appears as a calculated figure on the product page, "Votre 2ème paire à 74,50 €", rather than as a banner claim, and bundle codes cover three pairs of socks at 19 € and two belts at 39 €.

Brand Storytelling

Shops and history as navigation. Notre histoire, Nos magasins and a Journal sit in the main menu, and the footer repeats the count as 10 boutiques, 9 in Paris and 1 in Bordeaux.

A vocabulary of care. A Lexique glossary sits beside Conseils et Entretiens, Soins cuirs and Soins velours, treating maintenance as part of the product rather than an afterthought.

Notable Features

Trust strip above the footer. Free returns, in-store service, secured payment and the accepted methods (Mastercard, Amex, Visa, Paypal, Apple Pay) are set as a four column band, with four instalment payments through PayPal promoted separately in the top strip.

Judge.me reviews in brand colour. Review stars, reviewer names and the write-a-review button are themed to the same tan, so ratings read as part of the design rather than a bolted-on app.
