Sportique
Updated: September 22, 2026
Sportique is a multi-brand American retailer selling a curated cross-category range: clothing, accessories, beauty, wellness, home, sport and gifts. The about page puts the scale at more than 500 brands from over 30 countries, and the all-products grid runs to 103 pages. Positioning is explicit, aimed at shoppers who “reject the status quo and appreciate thoughtful design”, with domestic shipping free over $75. Built on Shopify.
Website Design
Karla on a deep navy base. A single sans, Karla, carries headings, navigation and body copy. Text colour is a deep navy #1e2c39 rather than black, panels sit on a cool off-white #f0f3f3, and the only bright note is a coral #ff5353 reserved for sale prices.
A department store menu. Eight top-level items open column lists: Clothing, Accessories, Beauty, Wellness, Home, Sports, Gifts and Brands, plus Sale. Home alone breaks into eleven subcategories, so the menu carries the weight of a catalogue rather than a boutique.
A homepage read as a magazine. The page alternates product rows with brand spotlights, each a paragraph of editorial and a shop link. Section labels are set in small caps, among them Now Trending, Thoughtfully Curated and Why Shop With Us.
Shopping Experience
Breadth over depth. The range is genuinely wide, from $26 chlorophyll drops and $37 olive oil to a $2,862.99 concrete fire pit table and a $5,995 pilates reformer, with jewellery above $3,000 in the same grid. Category pages mix food, furniture, toys and watches without visual separation.
Sorting but almost no filtering. The all-products grid offers a sort dropdown covering relevance, best selling, alphabetical, price and date, and little else. On a catalogue this size, navigation falls to the menu and the curated shelves rather than facets.
Brand attribution on the product page. Each product page leads with a breadcrumb, share links, the product name and a By line naming the brand, then price and Add to cart. Out-of-stock items show a notify-me email field in place of the button.
Structured supplier copy. Below the buy box, descriptions are broken into key benefits, featured ingredients or materials, and an FAQ accordion, giving pages from very different categories the same shape.
Brand Storytelling
A published curation rubric. A dedicated page sets out four pillars, quality, craft, story and impact, and argues each with named examples: suitcases dented with sledgehammers, cast iron made by a hundred-year-old method.
Discovery framed as the service. The about page describes the mission as driving the discovery of unique, functional and purposeful products for work, play and home, and traces the shift from an outdoor focus to full lifestyle.
Notable Features
Interest-led shelves. Alongside conventional gift guides for him, her and kids sit Made in the USA, Brands That Give Back and Fresh Finds, which sort the catalogue by values rather than category.
A trade programme. Trade sits in the footer beside customer service, opening the assortment to specifiers as well as consumers.
The Logbook. An editorial blog runs under its own name in the footer, matching the travel language used across the site.
A first-order incentive. A newsletter modal offers 10% off and confirms the code by email.
