We test each Shopify theme we review personally with demo stores to ensure we can deliver authentic, objective insights into their pros and cons.

The Diva Shopify Theme: Overview and Pricing

Diva Shopify Theme on Themeforest

The Diva theme is a premium Shopify theme created by AdornThemes, a reputable author on ThemeForest, with plenty of top-selling theme options, such as “Belle”, and “Vogal”.

Although this theme isn’t available on Shopify’s Theme marketplace, it has an excellent reputation on one of the most popular third-party theme sites: ThemeForest.

As a highly flexible multi-purpose theme, Diva comes with tons of customization options, and endless layout and style options to choose from.

Features like the built in mega menu, collection page capabilities, and the intelligent search function make it great for larger stores.

However, I think this theme will be particularly useful for fashion businesses, and similar brands, due to all the unique ways it allows companies to showcase these products.

The theme costs $99 for a regular license, or you can upgrade to an “Extended” license, for $3750, which is about on-par with the pricing for many premium themes on the ThemeForest site.

It’s not the least expensive theme out there, but it’s not the most expensive either.

The Diva Theme Design Options

While the Diva theme doesn’t include a range of “styles” to choose from, like you’d get from a theme on the Shopify marketplace, you do get 10 premade layouts to explore.

That’s a little less than some other ThemeForest developers offer. However, the Diva theme is also a lot more customizable than some of the solutions I’ve seen.

You get more than 400 theme options to choose from, unlimited color options, endless typography choices (including Google fonts), and access to CSS3/HTML5 if you want to make granular changes.

Whatever you choose to create with the Diva theme, you’ll be able to experiment with clean, optimized code, access lazy loading features, and ensure responsivity on all devices and browsers.

Plus, there are numerous header and footer styles to choose from too.

You can alter virtually every aspect of this theme, to where menus are placed, to grid layouts, images, and custom icons.

In my opinion, this is definitely one of the more versatile themes out there, particularly for those who have a little coding knowledge.

The Diva Shopify Theme: The Top Features

Although I often recommend choosing themes from the Shopify marketplace to beginners, third-party solutions like the Diva theme generally do offer a wider range of features.

This theme comes with many capabilities built-in, like a mega menu, advanced search, and Instagram galleries, that you would have to use additional plug-ins and add-ons for with other themes.

Here are some of the top features I discovered when I was experimenting with this theme.

Home Page Features

From a home page perspective, the Diva theme gives you plenty of ways to highlight your brand and engage your audience. You can create four different types of slideshows to tell a brand story or showcase your products. There are even options for videos and parallax banners.

Throughout your page, you can add sections for things like testimonials or brand logos, to boost your credibility, add Instagram galleries, or show off your latest blog posts. There’s even the option to include a Google Map on your homepage, to help users find your physical store.

Plus, the Diva theme supports custom content sections, so you can upgrade your home page with just about anything you can think of.

Product and Collection Page Features

Compared to the other Shopify themes I’ve tested; the Diva theme goes above and beyond in terms of product and collection page capabilities.

On product pages, you can experiment with sidebar positions and thumbnail sides, and create product variant dropdown menus or selection boxes.

There’s support for product labels (like “sale” labels), and tabs, where you can add additional information about sizing and product care – ideal for fashion companies. Plus, you can add product videos, pop-ups, zoom capabilities, and videos.

With collection pages, you can explore a range of grid designs, create category banners and slideshows, and design dynamic labels for all products in a collection. There are hover animation options, and infinite scrolling options too.

The biggest downside is that I couldn’t find any specific conversion-focused features, like the ability to show recently viewed products, suggested items, or even countdown timers to help increase urgency.

However, you can show reviews on each page to earn customer trust. There’s also a wish-list function which is great for boosting audience engagement.

Navigation, Header and Footer Features

As mentioned above, it’s really easy to customize every component of your Shopify store with the Diva theme.

There are 7 header styles to choose from, and you can implement top bar promotion text, re-adjust the position of your logo, and explore different color combinations.

In the footer, you have a range of flexible blocks to choose from, so you can add sections for all kinds of valuable pages, like your “FAQ” or “About” page.

Plus, you can include contact details, payment icons, social media icons, and navigation elements.

Speaking of navigation, I really love how the Diva theme optimizes the user experience with “predictive search”, which helps users to rapidly find the items they want just by typing a few letters.

There are mega menus available for companies with large product collections, and you can add all kinds of content to these too, such as promotional banners.

You’ll also be able to create specialist pages for returning customers, like password pages for members who want to sign in to their account and check order details.

Other Standout Features of the Diva Theme

On top of the features outlined above, there are some additional capabilities that make the Diva theme a great choice for a lot of Shopify stores. My favorites include:

  • Code customization: You’ll have no problem experimenting with code and adding unique functionality to your store with the Diva theme’s clean codebase.
  • Lead capture: You can create custom popups, and newsletter sign-up pop-ups, to capture contact information and nurture potential customers.
  • SEO: The Diva theme is optimized for fast loading times, and excellent search engine ranking potential, saving you some time on your SEO strategy.
  • Product filtering: Users can easily filter through products based on their color, size, vendors (if you work with partners), pricing, and more.
  • Mega menu styles: Diva gives you five different mega menu styles to choose from, which is ideal for larger companies with complex inventories.

Merchant Reviews and Customer Support

One of the things that convinced me to review the Diva Shopify theme in the first place was its excellent reputation.

The theme has a five-star rating on ThemeForest, and has earned more than 400 sales. Although it hasn’t captured as much attention as some of AdornTheme’s other options, like the Avone, or Belle theme, it’s clearly a popular choice for a range of companies.

In terms of customer support, you get about the same level of guidance from AdornTheme as you would from any other third-party developer.

There’s a lot of great documentation available, and guides to help users get started, but the only way to get in touch with the team is through email, and you might spend some time waiting for a response.

On the plus side, you do get 6 months of assistance on the standard license, and free updates for as long as you’re using the Diva theme.

My Expert Verdict

I think the Shopify Diva theme is a high-quality, reliable, and stylish theme, ideal for fashion companies and luxury brands with big product collections.

It’s great at showcasing your products in a range of different formats, and is highly customizable. Plus, it’s got some fantastic search and navigation features to improve the user experience.

The problem for me is that this theme lacks a lot of the conversion-focused features, like product suggestions and countdown timers that would make it more valuable to merchants.

If you want a more conversion-focused theme, this might not be the right choice for you.
