Kjaer Weis
Updated: September 15, 2026
Kjaer Weis is a certified organic colour cosmetics and skincare brand founded by the Danish makeup artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis and run from New York. The catalogue covers complexion, cheek, eye and lip makeup, a skincare routine of cleanser, toner and oils, body care and tools, all built around a refillable metal compact system. Positioning is stated as high performance and certified organic, aimed at buyers who want luxury packaging without single use plastic. Built on Shopify, with Global-e handling international orders as merchant of record.
Website Design
Off white with one red. The base palette is a near white ground with pure black text and a single deep red used for buttons, highlights and the gradient on primary actions. Nothing else competes with product photography.
Serif display against an uppercase sans. Headings are set in Instrument Serif at a tight line height, body copy in MTT Milano, and both navigation and buttons are forced to upper case. Product names inherit the heading serif rather than the body face, which separates them from surrounding interface text.
Fluid type scales. Sizes are defined as clamped ranges rather than fixed steps, so headings and navigation resize continuously between breakpoints instead of snapping.
Shopping Experience
Editions are the variant axis. Instead of shade or size alone, products are chosen by Edition: Iconic Edition, Red Edition, Petite and Refill Only. The selector appears on the product card as well as the product page, so a refill can be bought without opening the full listing.
Cards carry ratings and unit pricing. A grid tile shows a star score, the product name with volume, then a price such as From £30.00 with a unit price of £17.33 per ml underneath. Out of stock variants switch the button to a notify option.
Homepage modules are shoppable. Featured products on the home page include quantity, Edition choice and an Add to cart button inline, and the skincare routine block offers Add to bundle across the Cleanser at £90.00, Toner at £80.00 and Beautiful Oil at £135.00.
Merchant of record disclosed in the buy box. Beneath Add to cart, the page states that the order is purchased from Global-e, with links to its terms and privacy policy.
Brand Storytelling
Awards carry the argument. Product sections are built from third-party citations, with Eco Beauty Awards and Glamour Beauty Awards panels quoting named editors at length rather than the brand describing itself.
Refilling framed as ritual. The How to Shop block reads “Our refillable system means less waste, more beauty”, and describes slipping a fresh formula into a compact the buyer already owns.
Purpose as a navigation item. Our Story, Ingredients and Sustainability sit under a Purpose menu, level with the shopping categories rather than in the footer.
Notable Features
Care-Wise Rewards. A named loyalty programme sits in the footer service row and in the account menu.
A beauty advisor on WhatsApp. Customer Care links to a chat channel alongside the FAQ, refill guide and returns.
Wishlist with an explicit consent step. Saving an item prompts a storage consent dialogue, and an unauthenticated device is capped at five saved items until the shopper logs in and syncs.
