New York Sunshine
Updated: September 11, 2026
New York Sunshine is a New York art and design studio that sells drop-based apparel and collectibles under its own name and its Install Team label: T-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, hats, supply bags, die-cast model cars and air fresheners, much of it produced with outside partners including Nike, Dickies and a die-cast model maker. The same domain carries the studio’s furniture and object work and SAW, an appointment-only exhibition space in Southampton, New York. The storefront is a Nuxt front end running against Shopify.
Website Design
Off-white ground, flat accents. The palette is black and white over a very pale grey field, with a hard blue, a hard red and a yellow held back for markers and interface states. No gradients, no shadows, no rounded cards.
Three typefaces doing separate jobs. Eurostile Bold Extended sets display lines, Helvetica Neue LT Std the running text, and Monospac821 BT the labels and utility copy. The mix is industrial and matches the construction-crew framing the brand uses everywhere else.
Navigation reduced to six words. Shop, Saw, Design, Archive, Contact and Instagram. There is no search, no account area, no filtering and no category tree.
Shopping Experience
One page for the entire shop. The shop route stacks every release in sequence, each with its collection title, a product count and a grid beneath it. Eleven collections and around eighty items sit on a single scroll.
Sold out is the resting state. Most items are marked Sold Out and stay on the page rather than being removed, so the shop reads as a record of past drops with a thin live layer on top. What is currently buyable is largely the collectible tier, including die-cast models at $28.00 and a set of air fresheners.
Product pages carry four elements. A return link, the image with a zoom control, the title and price, and an Add to Cart button. There is no description, no size chart and no related products.
Policies live in one overlay. An Information panel opens over the page with terms, shipping, returns, sales tax, privacy, copyright and trademark in a single scroll. The returns line is blunt: “All sales are final.”
Brand Storytelling
The Install Team runs through everything. The crew conceit links the clothing, the vehicles and the studio work. The die-cast collaboration assigns each model vehicle to a specific imagined member of that team, described at length in the archive.
The archive does the work of an about page. Instead of a company history, the Archive section documents past projects with long captions, press links and video, and that is where the brand voice actually lives.
Notable Features
Three businesses on one domain. Shop, Design and Saw present merchandise, furniture and a gallery programme as equal top-level sections rather than subordinating the non-retail work to the store.
A gallery with its own sub-navigation. SAW opens into Space, Shows and Shop, carrying an exhibition schedule and a by-appointment note for the Southampton address.
Shipping destinations listed by name. The terms overlay enumerates every country served, and the carrier services offered domestically and internationally, rather than naming regions.
