ONSURI sells single varietal and blended extra virgin olive oil grown and pressed on a family farm in Jordan, then shipped from a UK warehouse to buyers in the UK, the US and Canada. The range holds twelve lines: 500ml and 1L formats of Arbequina, Arbosana, Koroneiki and the native Jordanian Nassouhi, a Signature blend, separate cooking and finishing oils at £26.95, bundles to £59.99 and a £7.50 pour spout. The positioning is technical rather than rustic, with a polyphenol count published against every oil. Built on Shopify.

Website Design

White page, black chrome. The background is white, with a light grey #e4e4e4 carrying the footer, cart drawer and primary buttons and black reserved for secondary buttons. On the homepage the header loads transparent over the hero and switches to solid black on scroll.

Figtree throughout. A single sans-serif, Figtree, sets headings, body and interface text. There is no display face, which suits a store that leans on numbers.

Specification stacked above the name. Each product block leads with a classification line reading Single Varietal or Multiple Varietal, then a polyphenol figure in mg/kg and a review count, and only then the name, size and price.

Tasting notes built into the card. Every card carries a Taste Profile heading, a short descriptor set in capitals and a sentence of notes, so the homepage reads as a tasting sheet rather than a grid.

Shopping Experience

Two buying paths per product. Add to basket sits beside Subscribe and Save on every card and product page, with the terms restated inline instead of behind a link.

Accordions carrying laboratory data. Product pages open into Taste Notes, Product Specification, How to use, Shipping and Delivery and Reviews. The specification block lists polyphenols, oleocanthal content in mg/kg, a dated Sommelier Approved line per oil and a laboratory certification status.

Cooking guidance as merchandising. The How to use block splits the range by dish, pairing Signature with salads and grains, Arbequina with fish and eggs, and Arbosana with steak and tomato dishes.

Brand Storytelling

Harvest year as the organising device. The 2025/26 harvest runs through the announcement bar, the hero and the product titles, dating the catalogue explicitly rather than presenting it as evergreen.

Vertical integration as the proof point. The store states that “Every drop comes from olive trees we’ve planted, nurtured, and grown with love”, with groves, a private mill and bottling all described as in-house.

Expertise given faces. A Meet Our Sommelier page profiles Amelia Bilbeisi, and a recipe library is credited to named chef ambassadors including Kirk Hayworth and Marianna Leivaditaki.

Notable Features

A free fifth subscription order. The offer is framed as “every 5th delivery is on us” and elsewhere as the equivalent of 20% back over time.

Reviews surfaced at two levels. An aggregate of 4.98 across 333 reviews sits on the homepage, and per-product counts run alongside it, from 234 on Arbequina down to 16 on Koroneiki.

Editorial sections given their own navigation. Our Awards, Press Coverage, Recipes, FAQ and the Ovette Journal each hold a separate menu entry, and the footer switches between GBP, CAD and USD.
