Jot
Jot is a Boulder, Colorado coffee company selling Ultra Coffee, a concentrate it describes as 20x the strength of brewed coffee, alongside a whey protein coffee and an instant line. One tablespoon makes a cup, hot or cold, with water or milk. The model is subscription first: the site is built around a monthly refill at 25 percent off, with a one time purchase as the alternative. Co-branded Fellow drinkware fills out the catalogue. The store runs on Shopify using a customised Focal theme, with Recharge handling subscriptions and Judge.me the reviews.
Website Design
Cream, apricot and black. The page ground is a warm cream rather than white, with apricot behind offer blocks and near black for type and buttons. Buttons are square cornered with no radius, which stops the softer palette reading as pastel.
One typeface across the theme. Instrument Sans sets both headings and body copy, with a second face, Basetica, appearing only in the campaign sections built on top of it. Display lines run large and tight, while eyebrow labels are small and upper case.
Motion used as a divider. A scrolling marquee repeating Your Coffee, Your Way separates the opening pitch from the product blocks, and the testimonial and recipe modules are carousels rather than stacked cards.
Shopping Experience
The offer is the landing page. Above the range sits a welcome bundle builder that itemises its own discount: a starter duo marked from $53.20 to $39.90, a free gift valued at $30, free insured shipping at $8 and a branded tablespoon at $4, totalled as $101.20 struck through to $39.90.
Choice narrowed to three. The duo is configured by picking one of three pairings, Black Coffee, Flavored Coffee or Protein Coffee, each with its two flavours named, rather than by working a grid.
Subscription and one time side by side. Product pages present two selectable cards, a monthly delivery at 25 percent off and a one time purchase at full price, the subscription card listing its benefits underneath. Add To Cart sits below, next to a Find Me In Store link and a Send as a gift option.
A cart drawer with an order note. The cart opens as a side panel carrying an Add order note field with its own save control.
Brand Storytelling
Scepticism answered head on. Review headings are built around the objection rather than the praise, Social Media Was Right for a Change and Still Feeling Skeptical among them, each quote from a customer who describes doubting the product first.
Process explained without numbers. The FAQ calls the method a proprietary progressive enrichment process, a closed system where nothing is added and nothing is taken away, and names South America, Central America and Indonesia as origins, with an emphasis on woman owned farms.
Notable Features
Recipes as merchandising. A module gives ingredient lists and instructions for a vanilla latte, a Vietnamese iced coffee and a caramel macchiato, each tagged hot or cold.
Limited releases alongside drinkware. Seasonal and limited batch concentrates rotate through the catalogue next to Fellow mugs, tumblers and glass sets.
Account controls in the footer. A Manage Subscription link sits beside Help and Accessibility, with a Manufacturing / Ingredient Supply page.
