Club Kombucha

Club Kombucha sells canned, non-alcoholic kombucha and an electrolyte-boosted line from a base in Montreal, positioned as a beer alternative for the health-conscious and for athletes. The store sells cases of 24 cans in single flavors or mixed Half-Half packs, alongside a small merchandise line of t-shirts, hoodies and hats, and advertises free delivery within Quebec. Built on Shopify’s Brooklyn theme, customized under an internal build name of Lima Charlie Updates.
Website Design
A can-first product shot. Each product page leads with a single can photographed against plain white, flavor-specific gradients running through the label art, the Passion Fruit can moving from lavender into cream under a rounded serif Club wordmark.
Warm lifestyle inserts below the fold. Below the buy box, styled photography shows the cans alongside pastries and poured drinks on light tabletops, giving the otherwise plain product page a cafe-adjacent mood.
Two typefaces carry the theme. Headings and display text run in FormaDJRDisplay, a geometric sans, while a serif called LivornoWeb appears in secondary text, a pairing carried over from the Brooklyn theme this store extends.
Shopping Experience
Purchase type set above quantity. Every product page opens with a choice between Achat unique (one-time purchase) and Abonnement mensuel (monthly subscription), placed before the quantity selector and the add to cart button.
Nutrition facts on the product page. A bilingual French and English nutrition table sits under the product photography, listing calories, carbohydrates and sugars per can, a detail not typically shown on a beverage storefront.
A strict no-return policy. The footer states no returns and no exchanges, stricter than most stores in this set, likely a function of shipping a perishable canned beverage.
A standard Shopify payment set. Checkout accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club and Shop Pay, with a French and English language toggle available site-wide.
Brand Storytelling
Beer set as the comparison point. Marketing copy frames the kombucha as being “like beer in a can,” aiming the product at a beer-drinking audience looking for a lighter, non-alcoholic option rather than competing directly with other kombucha brands.
A flavor return treated as a homepage event. A banner announces the comeback of a seasonal flavor, suggesting the catalogue rotates and that a restock is treated as a marketing moment rather than a quiet inventory update.
Notable Features
Room-temperature storage as a headline claim. A prominent homepage banner states the kombucha can now be kept at room temperature, a shelf-stability change significant enough to lead with rather than bury in an FAQ.
Electro as a parallel, related line. Alongside the original kombucha, an electrolyte-enhanced Electro range is sold in the same case format and flavor logic, extending the catalogue without introducing a new packaging format.
Merchandise as a small side category. T-shirts, hoodies and hats are sold alongside the drinks, priced from roughly 25 to 50 dollars, giving repeat customers a non-beverage purchase option within the same store.
