Y.CO

Y.CO is a luxury yacht company that runs five service lines from a single site: charter, purchase, sale, new build and refit, and yacht management. The audience is charter clients and yacht owners at the top of the market, and the site is built to open a conversation rather than take an order. The front end is a static Astro build served from y.co with assets on a separate CDN.

Website Design

GT America across the whole system. Type is set in GT America Standard alone, from navigation labels to long-form feature copy. Weight and case do the separating work, with small upper case labels sitting over sentence case headlines.

Dark grounds and one accent. Surfaces alternate between white and a very dark blue, with the interactive destination map sitting on a near-black navy. A single high chroma yellow is reserved for link underlines and button borders, so the palette reads as monochrome with one signal colour.

Carousels instead of stacked sections. Yacht and destination photography runs edge to edge under the navigation with copy dropped into the lower third. Long pages break into horizontal sliders, so features, cabins, toys and itineraries each scroll sideways rather than extending the page.

Shopping Experience

Browse and enquire, not add to cart. There is no basket. Every yacht card carries length in metres, guest capacity, build year and a weekly from price in euros, such as €550,000 p/w for Sea Eagle and €345,000 p/w for Awandra, and each page ends in an enquiry form.

A search overlay split by intent. The header search opens tabs for charter, purchase and experience alongside a filter tab, and the underlying listing data indexes cabins, guests and year built.

Yacht pages that run very long. One yacht page covers standout features, a deck plan, cabin arrangement, a toy inventory listed item by item, a video tour, a media gallery, crew values and suggested itineraries by region.

A moodboard rather than a wishlist. Save controls on cards add yachts to a personal moodboard held under an account area, which the charter team then works from.

Brand Storytelling

Positioning stated in the first line. The homepage opens with “MORE THAN A YACHT COMPANY”, followed by “We are a community. A network of talents and relationships that interact to make experiences on the water the best they can be.”

An editorial hub called Beneath the Surface. Articles are grouped into Masters at Work pieces on shipyards and designers, sustainability writing such as Operation Jade with YachtAid Global, and destination guides.

Notable Features

Charter AI in the header. A dedicated button opens a Charter AI panel, placed beside the search and moodboard controls.

A directory of yards and designers. Build and refit pages profile Feadship, Oceanco, Lürssen and Amels, plus designers including Espen Øino, RWD, Pastrovich Design and Winch Design.

Season-led merchandising. Separate Summer 2026 and Winter 2026/27 spotlights, along with last minute availability and special offers, reframe the same fleet by when a client wants to travel.
