Aeropostale

Aéropostale has always represented a sense of adventure, achievement and dedication. The history of the name dates back to the 1920’s. Compagnie Generale Aéropostale, a pioneer airmail company, was the first company to fly between South America and France… most definitely a spectacular achievement for its day.

Paper Source

Paper Source sells stationery, paper goods and gifts, wedding invitations, personalized stationery, greeting cards, planners, journals, wrap and party supplies, and home and gift items across categories like office organization and decor. The tagline is stated plainly: “Do Something Creative Every Day.” Prices run from around $6 to $40 and up, with many items in the teens. Physical stores, a store locator, and virtual consultations with a stationery expert are offered alongside the online shop. Free standard shipping applies over $60. Built on Shopify.

Website Design

Deep teal against a pale ground. The logo, “Paper * Source,” pairs a serif wordmark with a small teal asterisk mark, and the same teal reappears as the Pay Now button and hover-link color across the site, against light mint and off-white backgrounds.

A seasonal top banner overrides the palette. During promotional periods the header carries a maroon “It’s Nestle Season” style banner across the full width, temporarily replacing the usual light background with a dark one.

Novelty product photography. Items are shot as simple flat product photos rather than styled scenes, letting quirky shapes, a ceramic Clip Holder Calico Cat is one example, read clearly on plain white.

Shopping Experience

A wide category grid with heavy filtering. The Office Organization and Decor page lists dozens of items four across, with sidebar filters for Price, Product Type, Print Method, Designer, Occasion, Number of Photos and Dated View, several of them specific to personalized paper goods.

Cross-sell built around the product, not the category. The Clip Holder Calico Cat page runs a “Wrap Completes the Gift” row of coordinating gift wrap, followed by “You May Also Like” and “Recently Viewed” rows before reaching customer reviews.

Reviews shown with a full distribution. Product reviews display a star average next to a bar breakdown by rating, plus a written, verified-buyer review with a helpfulness vote, ahead of a “Write a Review” prompt.

A plain, single-page checkout. Delivery and payment sit on one page with a teal Pay Now button, a gift card field, and no express wallet buttons ahead of the card form.

Brand Storytelling

Craft positioned as a daily habit. “Do Something Creative Every Day” reframes stationery as an ongoing practice rather than an occasional purchase, echoed in the workshop and event listings in the main navigation.

Boutique framing despite retail scale. Copy in the intro paragraph promises “an intimate, boutique-feel” in stores, a claim the site backs with a dedicated store locator and named virtual stationery consultants.

Notable Features

Custom services woven through the catalogue. Stamps, embossers, address labels and monogramming appear as their own personalized product lines rather than a single generic customization page.

Ink on Paper Source artist collection. A named collaborative line is called out separately from the core catalogue, crediting outside artists within the product range.

Membership and coupons in the footer. Alongside standard customer service links, the footer promotes a membership program and a coupons page as ongoing ways to save, not just one-time sale banners.
