Next

Next is a British multi-category retailer selling fashion for women, men, boys and girls alongside home, furniture, beauty and sports ranges, plus a marketplace of partner brands sold under its own navigation. The catalog spans budget basics to occasion pieces, with gift cards, gift experiences and a clearance section rounding out the offer.

Website Design

Black frame around a near-white catalog. The header and footer run in near-black, while the shopping surface itself sits on an off-white ground (F7F7F5), with a mid gray (616161) used for secondary text and a warm cream (FFE5B4) and dark teal (11323A) appearing as seasonal accent tones on category pages.

A branded serif paired with a proprietary display sans. Interface type draws on a custom family, NextDisplayExtended, in Book, Medium and Bold weights, while a second custom face, NextSerif, appears for select editorial headings, giving the retailer its own type system rather than a licensed web font.

Editorial styling on category pages. The Womens Beachwear page opens with a lifestyle strip of five model shots before the product grid starts, and a short descriptive paragraph frames the category rather than dropping straight into products.

Shopping Experience

An AI assistant bar above the grid. Category pages carry a “Next AI” row with prompt buttons including “Help me find a new outfit,” “I need some inspiration” and “Explore outfits by brand,” next to a free-text “Ask anything” field.

Filter and sort tuned for fashion. Category, Colour, Size, Brand and Style filters sit above the grid, alongside a “More” filter toggle and a sort control.

A dense product-page gallery. The wide leg trouser page reviewed shows six images two worn shots, then close crops of the waistband and print detail arranged in a two-column grid before the description.

Klarna financing and stock checking. The buy box offers a three-installment Klarna price beside the standard price, a Regular/Petite length option, a Store Stock Checker button and a Favourites heart icon.

AI-summarized reviews. An “Authentic Reviews” block shows a star distribution chart next to an overall score, followed by a short AI-generated summary of what reviewers say before the individual review list.

Brand Storytelling

Scale stated through department breadth, not narrative. Rather than founder or history copy, the site communicates its position through the range of the Departments footer column, thirteen entries from Womens and Home to Beauty and Clearance.

Corporate reporting linked from the footer. Gender Pay Report, Corporate Responsibility Report and a Modern Slavery Statement sit in the “More From Next” column, alongside a “Wear, Repair, Rehome” link pointing to a circularity initiative.

Notable Features

Next Unlimited and Next Credit Options. The footer’s “Shopping With Us” column lists a named subscription-style delivery program, Next Unlimited, next to Next Credit Options for account-based payment.

A four-icon utility row above the footer links. My Account, Change Country, Store Locator and Start a Chat sit as icon-topped shortcuts spanning the footer width, ahead of the standard link columns.

Six social channels linked. Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube icons run in a single row at the top of the footer, under the heading “Our Social Networks.”
