C&I Studios is a video production company founded in 2006 with studios in Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale and New York City, and its shop now trades as Uncreative, a made-to-order clothing and accessories line sold to the studio’s own audience. The catalogue runs to 44 items across apparel, hats, drinkware, phone cases and desk goods, priced from $22 for a mouse pad to $72 for an oversized hoodie. The About page names the buyer directly: “This line is for creatives. For filmmakers. For the people who build something from nothing every single day.” Built on WooCommerce with a proprietary theme, with Stripe handling payment.

Website Design

Black ground, white type. The theme sets a pure black page with white body copy and a grey scale of #888 and #ccc carrying secondary text. Card backgrounds lift only to #141414, so tiles read as tonal blocks rather than framed panels.

One typeface, worked hard. A single font variable holds Helvetica Neue with Helvetica and Arial behind it, and hierarchy is built entirely from size, weight, case and tracking. Navigation sits at 12px uppercase on 0.1em letter spacing, section labels at 11px on 0.3em.

Grayscale that resolves on hover. Imagery is filtered to full grayscale with a contrast lift and returns to colour over 0.6s on hover.

Shopping Experience

A three-column grid with 4px gutters. Product cards are set to a 3:4 ratio and sit nearly flush. Name and price stay hidden until hover, when they fade in over a gradient at the base of the tile.

Categories instead of filters. The shop page carries a centred row of twelve uppercase category links, from AirPods Cases and Bottoms through to T-Shirts and Tank Tops, with the catalogue paginated 24 items to a page.

Split screen product pages. A sticky full-height gallery holds the left half while details fill the right: category eyebrow, name, price, a short spec, a sizes line, quantity and a full-width white Add to cart button. The Dad Hat entry reads in full: “Yupoong 6245CM. Classic unstructured low-profile dad hat. 100% cotton chino twill.”

Brand Storytelling

The name carries the argument. “Our generation is the most uncreative generation of all time. That is what they say. We disagree.” The X in the wordmark is explained as the Latin ex nihilo, from nothing.

Client list as credibility. The About page names Nike, Coca-Cola, AT&T and the NFL as C&I Studios clients, tying the merch back to the production business rather than to a standalone label.

Notable Features

Blanks named openly. Bella + Canvas, Comfort Colors, Gildan, Yupoong and Lane Seven are listed on both the About and FAQ pages, and products cite the exact style code.

Made to order stated as policy. Production runs 2 to 7 business days, returns for change of mind are refused, and damaged or incorrect items are replaced free within 30 days. Orders can be cancelled inside a two hour window.

A measured size guide. Chest and length tables in inches cover unisex tees, hoodies and women’s tops, with the instruction to measure a garment you already own and compare.
