Browns Fashion

Browns is a London based luxury multi-brand retailer selling designer clothing, footwear, bags, jewellery and home decor from labels such as Zimmermann, Versace, Prada and The Row, alongside its own Boutique, Home and Sale sections. The nav splits into Women, Men, Home, Boutique and Sale, with new arrivals loading daily, shipping to more than 190 countries, and pricing that shows VAT free totals with duties included at checkout through Global-e.
Website Design
Helvetica for everything. Both body copy and headings run on Helvetica, set through CSS variables for body and heading families, giving the site a plain, editorial typographic voice with no display serif.
An off white ground with a navy and blue accent. The interface sits on a light grey white rather than pure white, with a dark navy reserved for contrast panels and a cobalt blue used for badges and highlights.
A black announcement bar runs the header. A slim black strip above the logo carries rotating promotional copy, currently new arrivals messaging, before the centred wordmark and the Women, Men, Home, Boutique, Sale nav.
Shopping Experience
A dense four column grid. The Women’s New In Clothing page lists thousands of products in a four column grid, each card showing the designer name, product title and price with no further copy until the product page.
A layered product page. A product page such as the Zimmermann Pussy Bow Lace Blouse pairs a thumbnail rail with Add To Bag, Add To Wishlist and Speak To A Personal Shopper buttons, then stacks Product Details, Materials & Product Care, Size & Fit and Shipping & Returns into accordions.
International checkout through Global-e. Checkout states the purchase is made from Global-e as merchant of record, with PayPal and Klarna offered as payment options and a note guaranteeing no additional charges on delivery once duties and taxes are included in the total.
Brand Storytelling
Services stand in for a history page. Rather than narrating brand heritage, the footer lists Personal Shopping, Made To Order, 123V Browns and Parlour as named services, letting what the company does double as its story.
Virtual Try On called out in the footer. A small note flags the feature beside the social links, positioning a technology feature as a brand differentiator rather than burying it in a help page.
Notable Features
Gendered newsletter signup. The footer subscribe form asks whether the subscriber is Men or Women before offering 10 percent off a first purchase, splitting marketing content by audience from the point of signup.
A dedicated Home department. Candles, tabletop, decorative objects, textiles, games and lighting sit in their own Home section alongside the fashion categories, extending the retailer beyond clothing.
Sale broken out by department. Rather than one combined markdown page, Sale carries its own Women’s and Men’s subsections, keeping the discount range organised the same way as the full price catalogue instead of dumping it into a single mixed grid.
