Universal Works
Universal Works produce contemporary menswear. Universal Works was inspired by David’s formative years growing up in a provincial midlands town in the seventies, part of a working class family that loved to dress well; seeing his Dad and Uncles in their work-wear and also when dressing for the weekend.
The Sports Edit

The Sports Edit is a UK activewear retailer selling running, yoga, fitness and athleisure apparel and footwear for women and men, curating more than 40 performance and lifestyle brands including Nike, adidas, On, HOKA, Sweaty Betty and Brooks. Prices run from about 26 to 285 pounds, spanning budget basics to premium running shoes such as the Nike Alphafly 3, and the store ships to the UK, Guernsey and the Isle of Man in pounds sterling. Built on Shopify.
Website Design
A near-black and putty palette. The site pairs a near-black #2F2A29 as its primary text and UI color against white and a warm putty #F5F3EF background tone. Pale pink #FAF0EC and a muted dirty pink #BD9B9F appear as secondary accents, with a deep TSE green #006265 reserved for the loyalty program and a red #A02C2C used for sale and alert messaging.
Graphik in two weights. Type runs on Graphik Medium for headings, menu labels and buttons and Graphik Regular for body copy, giving the interface a consistent grotesque sans feel without a serif or display face.
Banner-led homepage. A slim top bar carries delivery and returns messaging above a full-width promotional banner. Below the hero sit brand spotlight blocks for Sweaty Betty, On Running and Nike, a Shop by Category carousel, a Trending Now carousel and a Featured Brands strip of more than a dozen logos.
Shopping Experience
Five ways to browse. Navigation splits by gender, by product type such as Shoes and Sports Bras, by activity such as Yoga and Pilates or Running, by brand across 40-plus labels, and by current offers.
Curated Edits as a browsing layer. Alongside standard categories, the store groups products into themed collections such as The Espresso Edit and an Animal Print edit, sitting next to New In and Bestsellers.
Bundling and delivery incentives. Matching sets are discounted up to 20 percent under a dedicated Bundles section, and free UK standard delivery applies above 70 pounds, with paid Evri delivery below that threshold on a 2 to 4 working day window.
Checkout and returns. The cart carries a scarcity note reading Don’t miss out, your bag is not reserved and items may sell out, and the store advertises a 30 day, no quibble returns policy with free UK returns.
Brand Storytelling
Editing as the brand premise. The name and the recurring Edit collection format both lean on curation rather than manufacturing. The site presents itself as a selector of existing sportswear brands rather than a maker of its own.
Expert Advice as content marketing. A blog section labeled Expert Advice publishes running training guides, shoe reviews and fitness articles, positioning the retailer as a source of buying guidance alongside the product catalogue.
Notable Features
TSE Rewards loyalty. A points-based program, promoted on the homepage under the line Move more, get more, offers redeemable points, exclusive offers and early access to members.
Newsletter incentive. New subscribers are offered 10 percent off their first order through a signup prompt.
Wishlist and account tools. Shoppers can save items to a wishlist and manage orders through a standard account login, alongside the search and menu utilities in the header.
