Blueland

Starting with cleaning products – items traditionally sold in disposable plastic bottles, we can eliminate over 100 billion single-use plastic bottles in the US alone because our cleaners live in 100% reusable bottles.

Next? We’re innovation-driven and on a mission to reimagine all categories of household packaged goods with innovative form factors and environmentally responsible packaging.

Fiercely Curious

Fiercely Curious is a curated collective of over 45 Brooklyn based artists and designers hand-picked by curator, Erin. We showcase their work online (right here), at pop-up shows and through private studio visits (so please get in touch!).

Like all good things in life, this project started as a conversation between friends. These talented souls were recording their own stories through their art and we want to share them with you because they’re worth it and because they’re great. This is simply how Fiercely Curious was born.

We think it’s important to know where our things come from and we hope that you care to know, too. There is no better playground for creatives than right here where we brush shoulders with artists daily here in Brooklyn, NY. We’d also love for you to meet them and see the spaces where their ideas come to fruition so we’d be more than happy to book a studio visit and let you have a peek into their world, much like we have!

Rainforest Foods

Rainforest Foods is a British organic superfood brand founded in 2008 and shipping from Dinnington, Sheffield. The range is almost entirely single ingredients: spirulina, chlorella, wheatgrass, maca, cacao, ashwagandha, goji and hemp, sold as powders, seeds, berries and capsules in packs from 100g to 1.8kg and priced in pounds from 4.99 to 29.99. The store runs on Shopify using the Fastor theme, and a large part of the catalogue is currently out of stock.

Website Design

Olive green against near-black. The custom stylesheet is built around one accent tone, an olive at #9da452, used for buttons, prices, links and section rules. Headings sit in a near-black #1c0d0e on white grounds, with a red at #d9121f reserved for sale and error states.

One typeface throughout. PT Sans Narrow, loaded from Google Fonts, sets the logo lockup, the navigation, headings, body copy and prices alike. The condensed width is doing structural work: it is what allows a thirty-item ingredient menu to fit into narrow columns.

A theme showing its age. The build layers a Slider Revolution hero over an icon-font button set and full-width parallax bands, a mid 2010s pattern. Some regions were never configured, so the header dropdown still renders the placeholders “Your Heading” and “PLEASE CHOOSE A COLLECTION FIRST.”

Shopping Experience

A menu wider than the catalogue. The Products mega menu lists 31 ingredient collections from Acai Berry through to Wheatgrass, but only 37 products exist, so most collections resolve to a single item and several are empty.

Stock is the main constraint. Nine of the 37 products have a variant available to buy. The rest print “Out of stock” both on the button and beside each disabled size on the homepage grid, so the shortage is visible before a shopper clicks through.

Size resolves the price. Product pages open with a range, for example 8.99 to 16.99 for spirulina, then a Size row of 200g, 400g and 900g that collapses it to one figure. A quantity field and an Add to Compare control sit under the cart button.

Tabbed product copy. Description and Reviews tabs split the lower page. The description carries a headline, spirulina’s reads “The Original Superfood”, then a benefit paragraph, four ticked claims, an Ingredients line, a How To Use note and a Why Rainforest Foods block.

Brand Storytelling

Shared earth. The About Us page names the company philosophy “shared earth” and states a preference for producers using traditional farming and low-intensity production, with superfoods passing “through as few hands as possible”.

Certification carries the argument. Soil Association certification and Vegan Society registration each get several paragraphs explaining what the body is and what it audits, rather than a badge in the footer.

Notable Features

A donation attached to every pack. The site states that one square metre of cloud forest in the Neblina Reserve in Ecuador is funded per pack sold, through the charity Rainforest Concern.

Editorial routes in the main nav. Discover and Superfoods sit alongside Products as top-level items.

Compare and wishlist. Both a product comparison tool and a saved wishlist page are wired into the account area.
